ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE / DIGITAL PROJECT MANAGER

Position Overview
Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the Account Executive/Digital Project Manager is responsible for facilitating the development of digital marketing programs (websites, social media, SEO, email, content management systems, etc.) for clients in varied industries. This includes planning, executing and evaluating projects according to predetermined timelines and budgets. Leading projects, providing day-to-day account and client support, and ensuring quality control throughout the project life cycles are central to this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and lead project management responsibilities related to the planning, creation, development and implementation of digital projects including websites and related digital marketing programs.
  • Develop and manage project timelines from initiation to closure.
  • Be accountable for project results along with Strategist and Account Manager.
  • Exhibit solid understanding of key client information, including general business strategy, industry issues, products and services offered, key customers and competitors in the marketplace.
  • Work with account manager and clients to complete project launch plan outlining scope, goals, deliverable, required resources, budget and timing.
  • Complete work breakdown structure to estimate effort required for each task.
  • Provide a project schedule to identify when each task with be performed.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients. Participate in and contribute to client meetings/conference calls.
  •  Coordinate and report on project progress and accomplishments.
  •  Provide technical and analytical support and guidance to project team members. Clearly communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders.
  • Resolve any issues and solve problems throughout project life cycle.
  • Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved with project change request forms.
  • Determine if external consultants or contractors will be required to complete project plan. If required, recruit and manage appropriate staffing resources.
  • Track and report on project milestones and provide status reports to Account Manager.
  • Lead, coach and motivate project team members on proactive basis.
  • Determine how results will be measured and complete a post-project evaluation to determine how results were achieved.
  • Conduct and manage quality assurance process on all projects before launch.
  • Ensure all project documents are safely archived following project completion.

Job Requirements:

  • University degree or college diploma.
  • Minimum three years digital agency or digital practice experience managing websites and digital marketing programs.
  • Effective project leader with keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, efficient process and timeline management, and capable of keeping teams on track and accountable.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and/or software packages.
  • Familiarity with HTML and Content Management platforms.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

FRONT END WEB DEVELOPER

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Assist in loading client content (e.g., articles, photos) into Peer360 tools
  • Create pdfs of email broadcasts, load printable versions of the broadcasts and publish to selected lists
  • Be available to assist with unscheduled, time-sensitive email marketing broadcasts
  • Assist in adding, editing and deleting email addresses from client lists
  • Edit and upload new client email marketing lists
  • Assist in preparing reports for clients regarding effectiveness of broadcasts
  • Build demos for the Peer360 products
  • Conduct training sessions for the use of the Peer360 products
  • Provide telephone support to clients regarding WEBLetter and other Peer360 e-marketing tools
  • Prepare monthly updates of invoicing information for clients
  • Update client support spreadsheet with new data relating to client accounts

Requirements:

  • Must know basic html and css coding

MARKETING STRATEGIST

We are seeking a results-oriented Marketing Strategist to join our team. We are currently seeking a Motion Graphics Designer to be a member of our creative team responsible for developing Flash based animations, 2D and 3D animations, Product & Service demos, General corporate overviews etc. An ideal Candidate will possess the following traits and skills:

Responsibilities:

  • A reel that demonstrates variety, design flair and creativity.

SEARCH STRATEGIST

Job Description:

As HMG's Search Strategist you live and breathe search – paid and natural. You're not afraid of a little code and you have excellent writing and presentation skills. You are a little obsessive about learning and utilizing new technologies and best practices. This morning's challenge may be redirects while this afternoon's challenge may be retargeting.


HMG is a digital-centric marketing agency focused on measurable results. Our core capabilities include Social, Search, Strategy, Email, Insights, Analytics, Mobile, Media, Creative and Technology. We merge digital strategies and technologies to inspire people to interact with businesses and brands.


Oh, and we all work from home except as needed for internal and external meetings, client presentations and the like.

Key Responsibilities Include:

The Search Strategist will play a pivotal and highly-leveraged role within a dynamic, high-performance team. The Search Strategist interacts with Strategists, Project Managers and Account Directors on various issues and assists them in providing a solution. The Search Strategist, while not the direct supervisor of the Search Specialists, shall strive to provide leadership and guidance to the Specialists and to assist in keeping their assignments on track to ensure the overall success of the department.


The Search Strategist must have a demonstrated record of quantitative/analytical rigor, creative problem solving, and strategic execution. This position requires the ability to communicate technology concepts fluently with others who may not be as technically savvy. Strong time-management, written and verbal communication skills are required.


Projects include the natural search engine assessment and optimization of digital properties; the planning, creation, management and execution of paid search initiatives on a variety of platforms; the examination, troubleshooting and strategic planning for domain utilization; technical problem-solving related to ranking, indexing, re-direct strategies in ever more complex environments; content recommendations that support clients’ brand and business concerns while driving good SEO value; and the creation and summarization of reporting on a variety of platforms including Google Analytics, Omniture and others. Recommend media campaigns for search, display, retargeting, remarketing and more. These will be a mix of brand-oriented campaigns and direct response.


Personal characteristics include the ability to quickly absorb information and draw conclusions, to communicate complex issues in laymen’s terms, and to use exceptional professional writing and presentation skills. This position involves a considerable amount of roll-up-your sleeves work, requiring the successful candidate to be very hands-on and tactical as needed, while maintaining strategic oversight of a project.


There is a requirement to maintain Google Certification(s) in paid search and analytics.


Manage day-to-day aspects of HMG’s SEO and SEM programs including, but not limited to:

Leadership and Project Management Duties:

  • Lead and prioritize all SEO and PPC projects within business unit to ensure HMG Search MBOs are met
  • Lead and prioritize all site architecture, content and linking projects which may include:
    • Conducting keyword research and competitive benchmarking
    • Developing and documenting detailed website recommendations
    • Working with content and creative resources to execute recommendations for on-page SEO purposes, PPC landing pages, key conversion points, etc.
    • Managing local directory client initiatives (Google Places, Yahoo, Bing, etc.) including optimization of listing, monthly maintenance and reporting.
    • Optimizing SEO programs to not only increase rankings and relevance, but also drive traffic, and increase customer engagement and acquisition
    • Measuring and reporting on clients’ business impact (ROI)
    • Conducting expert analysis of SEO efforts and results to derive actionable insights
    • Tracking, reporting, and analyzing SEO performance on a weekly/monthly/yearly basis
  • Work cross-functionally to align SEO and PPC goals with other client projects involving strategy, creative and programming
  • Develop SEO strategies for multiple client web properties (e.g. company.com, company.ca, blog.company.com) which may include:
    • Creating and implementing duplicate content measurement and mitigation strategies
    • Recommending international domains as appropriate for client projects
    • Troubleshooting various performance issues experienced by clients, e.g. bounce rates, indexing issues, crawl issues, canonical links, duplicate content, etc.
  • Lead and prioritize all PPC projects which may include:
    • Establishing and/or improving pay-per-click and similar pay-for-performance campaigns using Google Adwords and other Google products, Bing, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter
    • Ensuring PPC projects have clearly defined conversion objectives, budget guidelines and definitions of success
    • Optimizing PPC programs to not only increase conversions at an optimal position and price, but also drive traffic, increase customer engagement and acquisition
    • Recommending landing-page structure and content to drive conversions and clients’ business
    • Measuring and reporting on clients’ business impact (ROI)
    • Conducting expert analysis of PPC efforts and results to derive actionable insights
    • Tracking, reporting, and analyzing PPC performance on a weekly/monthly/yearly basis
  • Manage SEO/SEM vendor relationships, tracking projects, quality of work and invoices
  • Work with Strategy Manager to ensure resources are allocated properly for the work to be done
  • Provide Strategy Manager with updates as necessary to communicate adherence to MBOs, account wins, challenges and opportunities
  • Maintain meeting check-ins with Strategy Manager on a weekly basis
  • Provide coverage for search colleagues who may be out of the office
  • Communicate priorities and tasks to colleagues if you will be out of the office
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
  • Research, Presale and Educational Duties:

    • Participate in presale research, presentations and meetings for clients who may be new to HMG or simply new to HMG SEO and/or PPC projects
    • Contribute to proposals for SEO and/or PPC projects to ensure scope, deliverables and pricing are representative of the work HMG will be providing to complete the project successfully
    • Educating key stakeholders on the value of SEO
    • Create SEO and PPC case studies and provide to HMG Marketing Director
    • Stay on top of current search engine news, SEO best practices, PPC best practices, and emerging items of interest, and share these with the appropriate internal teams
    • Understand and communicate SEO and PPC industry best practices and new advancements and present recommendations for updated, effective strategies
